What is the HBSA Annual High School Conference?
It is a conference for high school students made possible by HBSA and its sponsors with the intent to increase the enrollment of Hispanics and other unrepresented, low income, first generation high school students into higher education. HBSA plans to make this possible by familiarizing students with college life through informational workshops. The topics for the workshops include: 
  • Educational Opportunity Program (EOP)
  • Student Life
  • Admissions
  • Leadership
  • Greek Life
What is HBSA?
The Hispanic Business Student Association (HBSA at San Diego State University (SDSU) is a student organization whose mission is to promote the awareness of and address educational and business issues related to the general SDSU community. HBSA, founded and incorporated in 1999 by students in the College of Business, is managed by the Officer Council and supported by its members, alumni, and the professional business community. The organization was formed to:
  • Increase enrollment of Hispanics in higher educational programs.
  • Assist organizations in recruiting, developing, and promoting Hispanic professionals.
  • Provide networking and career opportunities.
  • Promote Hispanic business leadership and entrepreneurship.
  • To voice the concerns of Hispanic students and alumni interested in a career as professionals in the business world.
